What’s up?!

Hey there,

long time no post. Have been getting requests for links and new stuff.  We’re actually in the process of upgrading new recording gear, including some new instruments. Thanks for all the positive feedback and positive email. Remember to contact us for any links, music, art, and poetry.  It’s taking some time, but it’s a blast so who cares!

God Bless!

Happy Birthday

Hey Dad,

I woke up this morning, didn’t feel to well.  I knew today just was not going to be the same. What I missed about you, was when i would be in my room or another part of the house listening to you sing along to your favorite songs in the basement or your errrrr—— close to “Mozartish” piano playing, but maybe a few more million hours of practice, which I’m sure is part of your new routine now. Hahaha. I find myself doing the same thing now, but on drums instead… hahahahaha. The apple does not fall far from the tree. to My dad Rosario Iapicco, whom I lost 2 years ago. I’m working on a song that I hope one day, we will be able sing together heaven. Happy Birthday Dad. I love you.

Without you Sweet God. We are nothing. But you are so Sweet and loving you are here. Love you forever. Hi Sweet Pea Jesus.

Here now, and we need you. And we need you so much. Peace from here on forever. Amen!

What The…?

Wow, I never knew how many people on this earth had a hand in actually creating it and the moon as well as the rest of the universe. Judging by how many dooms day prophets that are popping out of the wood work to cash in on people’s fears and anxieties is unbelievable. Maybe we all don’t hear from God the way we wish we could is because for some reason everyone seems to think they are in fact God. And judging by the fact that so many of us are first in line to Make MONEY off tragedies, and atrocities, it’s VERY clear that we know nothing of His ways. Obviously, people need to put a sock in it. Including me, so I’ll end this blog now, and return to this blog over and over again to at least make it look like many people are reading it! Ha! :-)

Ok, back to recording! God Bless!

Independence Day

Recently, we just celebrated Independence Day. It’s a time for reflection and gratitude for all those responsible for aiding in the pursuit of freedom. We have the freedom to say what’s on our minds, freedom to come and go as we please, freedom to wear what we want, and freedom to worship God without answering to man-made authorities. As I think about this wonderful country of ours—I’m reminded of another “Independence Day” . . . the day I accepted Christ as my Savior. Though I cannot pin-point an exact recollection of when I made that decision (I was young—and age can play cruel tricks on a memory :) ), I do know one thing though . . . it was the best choice and greatest decision I ever made. On this day I became free. Chains of seclusion were broken, shackles of restriction were taken off, and cuffs of condemnation were released. I was totally set free . . . free to choose the life God set before me. He took away everything that could possibly hold me back—and then, instead of forcing me to do anything, He simply expressed His love. Just like many men, women, and families paid a high price for our ability to live here in America, Jesus too paid a costly toll. Because of His sacrifice, I can rest in His love and have ultimate independence. He gave me freedom to love, freedom to have joy, freedom of peace, and freedom to explore this life and all of its twists and turns without fear—no matter what the circumstance may be. Whether on a mountain top or valley, or somewhere in-between . . . nothing can take the freedom He’s given me away. It’s been signed, sealed, and delivered—with His blood. So as I reflect and give thanks for all those who’ve made the colors red, white, and blue synonymous with liberty—I also give credit, glory, and honor to The One who also bore the colors red, white, and blue so long ago . . . red for His blood that was shed, blue for the bruises, and white for His purity and resurrection –letting everyone know that He still stands alive and well …and willing to give life and freedom to all who call upon His name.

Thank you Father for all You’ve done and all You’ve given!!

Well,

The writing and recording of some new music is coming along pretty good. This time I’m trying to engineer it, record, and play all the songs. This time not just drumming, but singing, guitar and bass guitar, and whatever else I can learn to do. Needless to say, it’s taking longer than usual, but I don’t mind! I love doing it. And it feels so good to just write, play and record what I want! No more political BS from fellow band mates!! Ha! So, this is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. Write a few albums worth of material, and dedicate the whole thing to God, the Father of Our Lord Jesus! Well Jesus too, even though they are one… hahahaha.. You know what I mean. LOL. Am I worried about what’s coming? Nope! I’m back where I want to be. In His eyes!

Lana, your writings are so awesome!! You rock!! Look for her poems and letters on the LOL main site soon!

c ya!

The Master Painter

As anyone who’s done home repairs knows, sometimes what seems to be a light project can actually turn into a daunting task. Recently, I had the mind-set to redo an upstairs bedroom. With its recent occupant, now vacated, it needed a heavy duty make-over. Excited about the task at hand, I got a visual of how I wanted the room to look. The walls definitely needed to be cleaned, as well as repainted, the carpet needed to be replaced, and then with just the right furniture . . . it would be a room of beauty.

After finding a nearby ACE hardware store, choosing the right color of paint, selecting the right brushes . . . I was on my way to start my new project. With music playing in the background, I started with the smaller brush (after pouring the paint in my tray) and began to cut-in around the door frames, ceiling, and baseboards. After making some head-way, and upon closer inspection of the walls—I noticed just how bad they really were. Scuff marks, blue marks, scrapes, missing paint, but yet with a stroke of my brush they all vanished. It was a miracle. I stepped back to look at the bigger picture ahead of me and realized that this was going to be a much bigger task than I had originally anticipated. In fact, after all the work putting on the first layer of paint, I knew it would need a second coat.

I started thinking about my own life, and how many marks and scrapes I’ve managed to collect over the years. Sometimes, I too need a “touch-up.” Thankfully, the Master Artist takes out His brush, and with one flick of His wrist, He makes me clean and new again. Sometimes I wonder if He thinks, “Man, this girl sure is a bigger project than I originally anticipated, but I have a vision of how I want to see her develop—so with a little bit of grace, a few touches of mercy, a handful of guidance, and a lot of forgiveness . . . she’ll look and be just what I had in mind.”
